AC to DC LED drivers

All of the Phihong Constant Current LED drivers take AC line voltage. This eliminates the need for a separate switching transformer like low voltage drivers require. With these off-line LED drivers, they will take your AC line voltage directly and output a safe DC voltage range for your LEDs while running them at the specified constant current output.

Wattage & Current Output Options

Our Phihong drivers are listed by maximum wattage capacity making it fast and easy to select which driver is best for you. Most LED applications know what drive current and forward LED voltage will be used and thus the wattage is calculated by multiplying the current (in Amps) by voltage (W = A x V). So, for example a run of 7 Cree XP-L LEDs at 1040mA would require the 25W Phihong driver. 7 LEDs at approximate 3Vdc per LED is a total forward voltage of 21V. 21V x 1.04A = 21.84W. This is a few watts under the 25W limit of the driver, but it makes it the ideal choice.

With many of the Phihong drivers there are multiple drive currents available for a single wattage driver. For example the 25W Phihong driver has output current options of: 450, 700, 1040, 1400, 1750 and 2080mA.

Multiple Dimming Options

Depending on your application, dimming might be an important factor. Luckily, Phihong has a range of drivers that support different dimming options or no dimming at all:

• Non-Dimming: Your standard, non-dimming driver. For when you just need light, no need to dim or brighten for different situations.
• 0-10V dimming: Like many LED driver manufacturers, Phihong utilized 0-10V dimming in some of their drivers. This is a simple method for dimming multiple LED units.
• Triac Dimming: This dimming is allows the use of inexpensive dimmers while avoiding common issues like, flickering of the light.
