Description

The Super Slim Recessed LED Lights raise the standard for recessed lighting. Each fixture is designed for small spaces with limited height clearance, such as beams or ductwork. They are super easy to install and are IC-rated, meaning they can be in direct contact with insulation without overheating and do not require any can or housing. The lights are Energy Star certified and ETL listed, featuring outstanding energy efficiency. Damp-rated and airtight, these ceiling light kits are perfect for bathrooms, drop ceilings, outdoor soffits, and large space general lighting applications.

LED rescessed ceiling downlight

Color Selectable (3CCT Switch):

On the lights power unit, there is a switch to select output between 3000K warm white, 4000K neutral, and 5000K cool white.

The 2023 updated recessed downlights are now color selectable. Legacy, single CCT models are still purchasable in our closeout section while supplies last.

Size Options:

The Recessed lights are offered in 4,6, and 8-inch sizes. More detailed specifications for each light size are found in the table below.

Dimming

The lights are TRIAC dimmable and come with a list of suggested dimmers. Create the atmosphere you need with smooth dimming 0-100%.

Easy Installation

The ultra-thin profile of the light and the slim driver junction box make it easy to fit into your ceiling without interfering with anything else. Quick wire connections and push spring-loaded clips make installation a breeze. The mounting hole and driver sizes for each bulb are listed in the table below. Follow these five steps for easy installation:

  1. With included wire nuts, connect green ground wires, white neutral wires, and black line wires.
  2. Insert driver through mounting hole; mounting hardware included with two mounting holes on either side of the driver.
  3. Connect the downlight to the driver box by inserting the male/female connectors and then twisting the threaded ring to secure the connection.
  4. Don't forget to select your desired output from the switch inside the driver.
  5. Push spring-loaded clips on the light upwards and insert the fixture base into the ceiling hole. Release the clips and they will pull the slim fixture up flush with the ceiling.

How many 6" lights and how far apart in a 16x30 room with 12" ceilings.
ON 25 Feb, 2020
Your answer has been submitted for consideration
BEST ANSWER: With a 8-ft ceiling, the maximum distance between 6" lights is 12-ft. Since you have a higher 12-ft ceiling, 8-ft between lights would be more reasonable. We would recommend a total of 8 lights, two rows of 4 lights.

My 6 inch lights failed probably because of an incorrect dimmer switch. The ceiling ids damaged and I need to replace them with 8 inch lamps. Can I use the 6 inch drivers with the 8 inch lamp? Was the driver damaged by the wrong dimmer or were the LEDs damaged?
JOHN ON 08 Jun, 2024
Your answer has been submitted for consideration
BEST ANSWER: No, the 8 inch lights require a different amount of power so the drivers are not interchangeable. The wrong dimmer should not have damaged either component rather the light would just not light up or not dim. That being said, if one of the components is damaged it is most likely the driver. You must replace both components regardless.

BEST ANSWER: The output voltage of the LED driver is variable because it is a constant current device (vs a constant voltage power supply).

I have a 16x34' shop that needs to be flooded with light. How many and what size do you recommend?
mhuyler ON 27 Jan, 2025
Your answer has been submitted for consideration
BEST ANSWER: We would recommend 16-20 of the 8" Downlights.  The recommended illumination is 50 lumen per square foot.  Your shop is 544 square feet, requiring 27,200 total lumen.  Each 8" downlight is 1,440 Lumen.

I see the you said the driver can be remote, using 18ga wire. Do you just cut off the connector and wire nut the extension to the driver and the LED?
David ON 13 Sep, 2021
Your answer has been submitted for consideration
BEST ANSWER: That is correct.  The voltage coming from the LED driver to the LED is DC. It is very important to make sure you maintain the correct polarity.

Can I install these between beams in my basement which has no drywall ceiling?
abk ON 03 Aug, 2021
Your answer has been submitted for consideration
BEST ANSWER: These lights are designed to clip into a hole in some sort of ceiling.  You could install pieces of drywall (or plywood/OSB) between the beams in each light location.  The thickness of the supporting material should be between 3/8" and 1/2".

Can you use this with 2x4 ceiling panels?
Don ON 21 Aug, 2021
Your answer has been submitted for consideration
BEST ANSWER: You could, but you would need to cut the appropriate sized hole in the ceiling tile.  These lights are very light, so a ceiling tile would support them.
