LED Housing - 1-Up 26.5mm LED Lighting Kit

Description

The ALK-26M-1-UP-KIT LED Lighting Kit is an LED Housing that fits a 1-Up Star LED and 26.5mm LED Optic. The housing is made from (2) pieces of 6063 billet aluminum that thread together. The base piece has a 1/8" center hole for the wire leads as well as a ½ NPT on the outer end for mounting purposes. When epoxied together the LED Housing is approximately 1.625-inch tall and 1.25-inch in diameter. The heatsink alone is a standard part (#DLK-26M-1UP-EH) in our LED Heatsink section, however this item in our LED Kit section comes assembled with 6-inch wire leads, and an LED and LED Optic of your choice.

Powering

The 26mm LED housing kit is an LED lighting module and not a light engine by itself. This is due to the fact that they do not include an LED driver. Just like other raw LEDs, these modules need an appropriate LED driver. If you are new to LED drivers, we have a helpful guide on what to look for right here. Our recommended drive current for this kit is 700mA.

Mounting

The bottom of the LED kit has female 1/8" IP threads (3/8 OD). This pairs with our fully threaded nipple and swivel. This is an easy wat to mount the LED modules as you can use the hex nuts that come with the nipple. There is also 1/2" NPT thread on the outside base of these housings which can be used to mount.
