Hello! I know I need a new LED driver and Altair's customer service is MIA. I have a Model AL-2163. I don't know what voltage I need. the voltage on my model is 13. Do I buy your 12 or 16? Also, what should I put for output? Please help.
Trista ON 10 Jan, 2022
Your answer has been submitted for consideration
BEST ANSWER: Thanks for reaching out, this blog post is the best resource for replacing the AL-2163 driver/light. If you only need to replace the driver then the APC-16-350 would work the best; so you would select 16 for wattage and 350mA for output. If you need to replace the LEDs as well then this complete retrofit lamp kit would be the better option. Can I replace my fluorescent ballast with an LED driver? Will be using Honeywell T8 LED tubes model #T83240HB. Which driver will work for my 120VAC set-up? Is all I need to do is replace the ballast with the driver? No other re-wiring required?
Lee ON 16 Aug, 2021
Your answer has been submitted for consideration
BEST ANSWER: Unfortunately, we couldn't find a complete data sheet for the LED Tube you referenced.  Some T8 replacements do require a driver, some work with a standard ballast and some connect directly to 120VAC.  Please contact our support team at sales@ledsupply.com with a copy of the full data sheet for the light you have and we can provide a detailed recommendation.

Either model will work just fine for you. We recommend the 16 watt version because of the wider voltage range. With that particular model be sure to replace the photoswitch too as the old one is part of the old driver and will not work with any replacement driver. Here is the link

BEST ANSWER: Unfortunately, we do not carry a driver with 580mA output.  The closest match would be the 500mA output Mean Well APC (APC-25-500).  The input voltage range is 90-264, so it would not work if you are using 277 VAC input.

Bob ON 08 Nov, 2021

LED Light is dim after installing APC-25-1050. My old driver was a dimmable 25-30 Volt 1050. I don't care about the dimming, so should I go up to the APC-35-1050?
Brian ON 21 Mar, 2023
Your answer has been submitted for consideration
BEST ANSWER: Yes, we would recommend going up to the 35-Watt model.  The 25-Watt model has a maximum output voltage of 24V, where the original driver started at 25V.  The actual required voltage of the light must be at or close the 24V maximum of the 25-Watt model, so the driver is reducing the output current to maintain the circuit.

Longshot! Other specs at: https://images.thdstatic.com/catalog/pdfImages/84/8415b5e8-6e17-484f-87e7-5531ab031daa.pdf.
Tripp Knightly ON 07 Sep, 2023
Your answer has been submitted for consideration
BEST ANSWER: We wouldn't be able to provide an exact replacement due to the output current of 460mA.  Most commercially available LED drivers have output current of 350,500,700 or 1150 mA.  You do not want to exceed the rated current, so we would suggest looking at a 350mA model.  Specifically, the Mean Well APC-35-350 (35-Watt, 350mA) has an output voltage range of 28-100 VDC.
