Description

The Centaurus J006 high-power LED light module from LUXdrive (Made in the USA) was designed to mount a 3.45mm square LED and couple with the Italian made Khatod PL1672 series lens. Most notably, combining this LED with a 35mm Khatod PL1672 series Ultra-Narrow Beam Lens will deliver a beam punch of four degrees (4&degrees).

The Centaurus MCPCB and LED:

The board itself (33mm round) can be mounted in several ways; first it has three tab cutouts around the diameter that can be used for mounting screws (#4 screws), in addition it has two more holes on the interior that can be used for mounting, either with or without the optic holder. The smaller alignment holes (5) on the interior of the board allow for use with both the optic alone or the optic with the optic holder coupled together.

The landpad on this MCPCB is 3.45 X 3.45mm and can be used with the Cree XLamp: XT-E, XP-E2, XP-G3, XP-L2, etc. and any other LED manufacturer using a 3535 pad. Currently, we offer the Centaurus with a Cree XLamp XP-E2 or XP-G3 LED. The XP-E2 die size is smaller making it the optimal choice when trying to create the most narrow beam. The XP-G3 is larger and brighter for applications demanding maximum lumens. Please find CCT, CRI and more LED details in the tables below and or contact us with your specific requirements.

Centaurus LED with Khatod Lens

Khatod Lens:

The PL1672 Khatod lens will fit on the board alone or inside a holder. Alone the optic has three legs that match-up with three holes on the board. If the lens is used with a holder, then the holder also had two legs that line-up with holes on the board. The lens holder comes standard with a double-sided tape to adhere the holder to the board. See table below for details on the PL 1672 lens.
