Description

LED Strip Light GuideThis flexible LED strip light is perfect for a wide range of applications, even in high temperatures or wet environments, thanks to the IP68 protection. The strip features a fully submersible, high-grade housing, making it the ideal strip light choice for the outdoors, pools, saunas, and much more!

High Output, Quality LEDs

The white strip light uses 2835 LEDs to produce brilliant whites (2700-6500K) evenly distributed down the entire length of the strip. A high CRI of 80+ and fantastic efficacy of 110 Lumens / Watt makes sure this light shines in all areas.

There are 120 LEDs per Meter (spaced every 8.33mm) which output 1050 Lumens/M at a 120-degree angle. This strip uses a double-layered flexible circuit board (FPC) to balance out voltage drop and aid in heat dissipation. Efficient Heat transfer is crucial when working with strips housed in a thicker material as it will ensure heat is spread evenly throughout the board, keeping the LEDs from getting too hot and burning out.

Please Note: The Color Changing RGB option still requires a larger diode size than the 2835 LEDs used in the white versions of this strip. Therefore, the RGB version still uses the same 5050 diodes and 60 LEDs/M density that our 12V High-Density strips utilize.

Bright White or Color Changing RGB Strips!

LEDSupply's Strip lights for Saunas and Pools come in a wide variety of color temperatures from 2700 to 6500K. Warm white is typically preferred for Saunas, whereas a cooler white is generally used for pools, showers, bathrooms, etc.

Want to spice things up with some color? We have RGB IP68 LED Strips available as well. RGB strip lights have become super popular in various households as they are fantastic for entertaining. When paired with an RGB controller, you have thousands of possibilities at your fingertips, allowing you to change the entire ambiance instantly. RGB strips can only make a very cool white color, so if white is your preference, the single color strips are the way to go.

High-Quality IP68 Protection

ip68 sauna strip lights

Complete IP68 Waterproof protection using a thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU) and silicone blend encases the strip from end to end. The material is highly flexible, allowing the strips to bend in and out while maintaining the highest protection of any of our strip lights.

The strongly bonded material has a high UV resistance, which means your strips aren't going to yellow or crack. The TPU material will stand up over time and in extreme conditions with a -30° C - 90° C operating temperature, plenty hot enough for high-temperature applications like steam room or sauna lighting.

Cut Points and End-to-End Connections

Like our other flex strips, these come with the option to be cut down in length every 2 inches. Before cutting these strips, please recognize that cutting them forfeits the manufacturer's IP68 rating of this strip light. Luckily there are many at-home methods to waterproof your connections or cut-ends, but please take note of this before you cut the strip lights down.

When there is a break in your application, you can still cut and run strips together using 20-24 gauge wire. TAKE NOTE: IP68 LED Strip's maximum run length is 32.8 feet (2 reels), and you should waterproof every connection you make. If your application needs more than the maximum run length, I would suggest finding a way to use multiple reels (without cutting) to run back to the power source (wiring in parallel).

Power

The strips require 24VDC input from an AC/DC transformer or a battery. Compatible power supplies can be found below in the recommended product section. When finding a power supply, it is crucial to account for your wattage, and these strips run at 10 Watts/M (RGB = 14).

Connecting to power can quickly be done with simple wire-to-wire techniques such as soldering, wire nuts, electrical tape, etc. If you have a plug-in adapter with a barrel plug on the end, these screw-in terminal power plugs help turn the wire leads into a simple plug-in connection. Remember, it is crucial to waterproof your connections with these strips if you are using them in an appropriate application.

Dimming

The strips are fully dimmable with 24V PWM dimmers. Flex strips tend to use in-line PWM dimmers which go in between your power supply and strips. You can find compatible controllers in our dimmer section.

Use a dimmable power supply if you require an AC Dimming Control from Lutron or Leviton.

Mounting

Strong bonded 3M double-sided adhesive backs these strip lights to help mounting go smoothly. Five mounting clips are also provided for each reel purchased. If your application requires some extra hold, outside adhesives/silicones will work with this strip light.

I am hoping to use two of these reels for a 10m long run, with one of those switchex combo power supply / dimmer switch (PART #: LS-EX-X-X). Will this work? What connectors do I need to connect a) the led strips to each other and b) the lights to the switch?
Bogdan ON 12 Aug, 2023
Your answer has been submitted for consideration
BEST ANSWER: The IP68 RGB color changing Sauna Strips come with connectors attached for a reel-to-reel connection. To connect the first reel to the power supply, we recommend you can use the Scerew-In Terminal Plug (Male, 2.1mm) to connect the RGB controller to the power supply and the strip will plug into the controller. The single color sauna strip does not have connectors on both ends.

I want to use this is a sauna - what dimmer is suitable is heat tolerant?
Joey ON 07 Dec, 2023
Your answer has been submitted for consideration
BEST ANSWER: We do not carry a dimmer that would handle the high temperatures and moisture of a sauna at this time. Any dimming components and the power supply would need to be located outside of the sauna itself.

I have Sauna IP68 LED Strip Lights - High Temp and Water Submersible I want to create a four foot no lights gap at 8 ft. Is there a jumper I can use for that?
Richard Gautraud ON 01 Nov, 2024
Your answer has been submitted for consideration
BEST ANSWER: There isn't a premade jumper of that length, but you can make a custom length jumper one of two ways.  You can use the 6" jumper, cut it in the middle, then splice in additional wire.  Or, you can use two of the Strip-To-Wire connectors and add wire between them.
