Aluminum Track for 12V LED Strip

Description

Use this universal linear extrusion to elevate the style of your LED linear lighting applications. These recessed or surface mount aluminum channels provide a clean built-in look that helps to spread light evenly while protecting the light strips. We commonly see them used in both accent and task lighting applications like: under cabinet lighting, stair lighting, shelving units, and display cases.

Track Options

There are two options for the 12V LED strip track. Both are made out of anodized aluminum to prevent corrosion and wear.

Square, Flat Track - This is the U-Channel style LED strip extrusion. LED strips lay flat in the track and can be arranged to shine light in a straight direction towards your desired source. The Square track can be bought in meter or half meter lengths.

Angle Track - This is an L shaped track with a 45 degree angle surface built in so that the light shines out at an angle. This is extremely useful for under cabinet or shelf lighting when the light needs to be at an angle to illuminate a wider range, rather than just shining straight up or down. This is great when you are placing the lights in a corner or need the light to come off in a 45 degree angle. This strip is only offered in 1 Meter lengths, no half meter options although you may cut it down if you so choose.

Lens

Each track option comes with a frosted lens that snaps on top of the extrusions themselves. The lens protects the LED strips inside but also helps to evenly distribute the light. The lens is UV resistant and flameproof.

End-Caps

The ends of the aluminum extrusion can be capped with end-caps. These end-caps allow wires to pass through, but help to keep dust and moisture out while increasing the clean look of your lighting project.

Mounting

There are two methods for mounting the aluminum LED strip housings. We provide two mounting clips for each track purchased (seen on the right). These clips are easily attached (screw not included) to the mounting surface and then the track can snap right into place. The second method for mounting would be to use a double sided tape, we recommend a 3M adhesive tape if you use the tape method.
